What is your guiding philosophy for HR?

In my mind, HR’s role as an enabling function, is to ensure that our plans are defined by the organisation’s strategy and ambition. We must make sure that we are attracting, selecting, motivating and developing the best people in the industry into Molson Coors to deliver that strategy and ambition – focusing both on today’s needs but also on the future organisational capabilities required to continue the growth and success of the business.

What are you currently working on at Molson Coors?

We want to be known for having the best people in the industry. We have an extremely capable and talented team at Molson Coors, so the challenge and opportunity is to keep evolving and improving this capability, both in terms of leadership ability as well as functional expertise, focusing primarily in commercial and supply chain.

Alongside this, we must continue to attract great people into our business, so we’re focused on creating internal capability to find the best people in the market, ensuring our approach is raising the bar on talent selection, as well as being a great candidate experience and capturing our new starters’ imaginations during their onboarding experience. This is why we have completely transformed the way new starters join our business.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Our business is going through an exciting phase, as we continue to grow our bigger brands like Carling, Coors Light and Doom Bar, whilst also moving our premium brands, such as Aspall and Pravha, into their next phase of growth. So, the opportunity to ensure we have the capability to deliver this growth for the UK & Ireland business is exciting – both as a leader of the business but also in how HR will enable this through everything we do.

What are you most proud of?

I’m proud to be part of a winning team which has been certified as a Top Employer for six years now and this is testament, not just to the work the HR team and our managers do to ensure our people have an amazing experience with our business, but also to the culture of our organisation. I’m proud to be trusted to protect and continue to evolve that culture, as it is what makes our business special to work in and with.
