Making culture a piece of cake

All employees aspire to work for an organisation with a good company culture. Employees want to work for organisations with a positive workplace environment that promotes inclusion, has strong values and ethics and good practices that help people to thrive. Particularly for those looking to switch jobs, identifying companies with a strong culture is a top priority before deciding to move.
In fact, Glassdoor’s Mission & Culture Survey 2019 found that more than 77% of adults would consider a company’s culture before applying for a role there, whilst over half said that company culture was more crucial than salary when it comes to job satisfaction. So, if employers want to attract, engage and retain top talent, a focus on carving out and maintaining a good company culture will be key.
In this issue, we speak to several companies who appear to be leading the way in this area.
