Accolade Wines talks 'sustainable flexibility'

Hello stalwart HR faithfuls and welcome back to the grind – and to 2023!
I hope your holiday period was restful and that you managed not to work, or if you did, that you managed to look after yourself as well.
As the myGrapevine team heads back to work, full of mince pies and rusty keyboard skills, we remain grateful for our readers, members and clients – for whom we’ve put together a pretty great January edition of the magazine, if we do say so ourselves.
This month is all about flexibility, including issues such as knuckling down to get recession-ready, how to help your team stay focused through the January blues and of course, acknowledging the mental health issues that the post-December winter months often bring.
For our gorgeous cover feature, we’ve interviewed Accolade Wines’ HRD about ‘sustainable flexibility’. And DHL Express, who has won the number one spot in the worldwide Great Place to Work award for the second year running, shares how a logistics company stays flexible on the front line of a worldwide pandemic.
We’ve also got a very timely piece about how important it is to take career breaks for mental and physical health. Finally, TSB and Sony talk flexibility in the banking and music businesses respectively – not exactly the first two industries you’d think of for flexible working arrangements, but we’re so pleased even those classic ‘workaholic’ sectors are changing.
Happy reading!
