A juicy new approach to tech transformation

As we sit at our computers, browse through our smartphones, or ask Alexa to pause the radio whilst we take a video call, it can be easy to forget just how amazing the technology that we surround ourselves with can be. Whilst the progression of technology has infiltrated our entire lives, it’s within the world of work where its presence has perhaps been most acutely felt. Take the coronavirus pandemic, for example. In the middle of a global pandemic, HR was able to swiftly adopt new platforms that enabled workers to stay connected, collaborate, learn and even join the company, all whilst confined to their homes. During this time, technology kept the wheels turning, and it will likely continue to do so going forwards.
That’s why, in the pages of the May edition of myGrapevine magazine, you’ll find a treasure-trove of insight from HR leaders on the current state of HR technology. In the cover feature interview, we spoke to Britvic’s HR Director and Managing Director about the pros and cons of working with different technologies and why the company has installed a ‘tech bar’ in its offices. Elsewhere, Fujitsu’s Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing talks about how technology is helping in her role. Also inside this issue, find out about Pets at Home’s search for the next generation of workplace technology with insights from the firm’s Chief People & Culture Officer, and hear from our expert panel about improving the employee experience through the use of technology.
As always, we hope you enjoy.
