Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) has always been an important topic for HR leaders. The people function is savvy to the idea that a diversity of thought within the workforce can breed better creativity, increased innovation, enhanced output and, ultimately, a better comprehension of the customer. For example, data from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) revealed that companies with greater diversity among senior teams enjoy revenues that are up to 19% higher than their competitors. With research pointing towards the benefits – and employees increasingly wanting to work for diverse and inclusive organisations – employers and HR should consider how they can get better in this area.
For this month’s cover feature story, we interviewed Weetabix’s Chief People & Digital Officer to find out more about the cereal brand’s ‘Inclusion Without Exception’ strategy, and how ‘Breakfast With…’ sessions can help to promote employee inclusion. Plus, with this issue focussing on D&I, we spoke to Virgin Media O2’s Director of DE&I to find out more about the firm’s ‘All In’ strategy. Additionally, we share exclusive interviews with Entain and Direct Line Group, as well as a video feature with AstraZeneca’s SVP Reward & Inclusion, talking about supporting neurodiverse colleagues. And, with June marking Pride Month, we also turned to our Advisory Board experts to find out how the function can celebrate Pride at work.
As ever, we hope that you find the content in this issue useful and informative!
