The Redesigning Work issue

Welcome to the final myGrapevine magazine issue for 2022! Whew, what a year. Marginally better than 2021 and 2020, 2022 was still a doozy of a 12 months. As we head into the UK’s second official Winter of Discontent, HR has a lot on its plate – both to weather the coming recession and to stay sane as we wend our way between the devil that is the talent crisis and the deep blue sea of inevitable redundancies due to the cost-of-living crisis. How in the world do we have the catch-22 of a simultaneous talent shortage and redundancies? Joseph Heller himself would be amazed.

The December issue of myGrapevine magazine is about redesigning work (aka, change management), and we explore all the different facets of change management, including how to handle the coming issues that the clever HR minds of our generation think we’ll face in the winter of 2023. For our cover story, we interviewed NBC Universal’s Head of HR to discuss how to manage HR from 30 Rock. We also have not just one, but two sweet treats in store for you, as we discuss Mars Wrigley’s approach to redesigning work; and the creator of Chupa Chups, Perfetti Van Melle, shares the company’s change management ethos. In addition, Stonegate Pubs opens up about how to keep hospitality staff smiling across 4,500 pubs.
