Gathering speed on employee experience at First Bus

What a whirlwind of a month January was! TGIF officially stands for “Thank goodness it’s February”. When speaking to all of our amazing HR professionals this month, I gained an in-depth appreciation for the fact that while January is a quieter month for many C-level workers, it’s an incredibly busy one for HRDs and their teams. I hope you have your 2023 plans firmly in place!
Because of the sea change in how the world views the employee-employer relationship, we’ve focused on employee experience as the general theme of our February issue. What is employee experience? Essentially, it’s the ethos of viewing employees as your customers. And from there, designing the entirety of an employee’s journey, from recruitment to retirement, as if they were your most valued client.
To give an insight into what some of brightest and biggest names in HR are doing in the employee experience sphere, we’ve chatted with First Bus, the regional bus operator that carries up to 1.4 million passengers per day where they need to go. The operator has redesigned its D&I offering as part of its commitment to its employees.
In our star interview, Red Ventures, which manages media such as Lonely Planet and CNET, shares how active listening has made them and their subsidiaries better employers. Morgan McKinley, superstar recruiters, talks about being a fun place to work while also maintaining the employee journey. And entertainment bad boys DAZN have had a refresh to their employee experience, and can’t wait to share all about it.
Please share your insights with us on social media and of course, get in touch with any amazing HR news you may have!
