The Women in DEX Network launched this year to build a community of leaders offering mentorship, guidance, and connection at a time when employee experience is being reshaped by AI.
Announcing the genesis of the network, Meg Donovan, Chief People Officer of Nexthink, said: “As DEX becomes mission-critical to how organizations perform, the leaders shaping this space carry increasing responsibility and influence, with the potential to transform how technology enables the workplace.”
HR Grapevine spoke with Virginia Webb, Head of Digital Workplace at Truist Bank, and Sarah Jones, Senior Director at GSK, about the gap in the market they see for a woman-led cohort in DEX, and how they see the role of DEX as shifting focus from measuring deliverables, to measuring impact.
The business case for representation
Women hold around 21% of senior tech roles in the UK, a figure from a UK Government call for evidence. Neither claimed it mirrored their own career journey’s, while making it explicit that such is not always the case.
