At the beginning of 2024, I authored a report about the prospect of people analytics maturing as a discipline.

Drawing on many, many studies about people analytics and data-driven HR, as well as speaking to a plethora of people analytics experts, I drew the following conclusions:

  1. HR leaders increasingly understand the full value of collecting and using people data to inform decision-making.

  2. HR professionals still lack the skills and capabilities to turn people data and insights into valuable, measurable action.
