'Lazy' recruitment processes hold back BAME candidates

Ethnic minority candidates are twice as likely to struggle to find work in the UK.

That was the conclusion from a Government review which found that prospects for ethnic minorities in the UK were worse than those for non-BAME candidates.

However, BAME2020, a campaign spearheaded by Founder of f1 Recruitment, Amanda Fone, and Adrian Walcott, Founder of Brands with Values, aims to increase the representation of those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds working in the media.

Currently, just 12% of employees in the media, marketing and communications professions (MMC) come from a BAME background.
