Okay, so some recruiters have been saying the CV has been dead for years. With automatic applications via LinkedIn, job boards and Tinder-style job apps challenging the paper-based status quo, some put the CV in a shallow grave a long time ago.

So, it won’t surprise many to find that another CEO is saying that the CV is at the end of it’s lifespan. Yet, is he right?

Posting on LinkedIn, Josh Mastel, CEO of UpRoar Partners, asked: “Is the resumé, as we have always known it, facing its eminent demise? [sic]”

Continuing, Mastel added: “I’m going to throw out a big prediction… I truly believe that 2-3 years from now we will look back and chuckle, remember the days when the world’s entire job market was built on the premise of sending and receiving a piece of paper that is supposed to accurately and properly define and capture someone’s entire skill set and ability?
