Golden Globes: Oprah Winfrey slams sexual harassment culture

In what Frances McDormand described as a ‘tectonic shift' in Hollywood’s mindset, last night’s Golden Globe awards saw several Hollywood stars tackle the sexual harassment conversation – one which has dominated the film industry in recent months.

To support victims of sexual abuse, many stars adorned themselves in black outfits as part of the Time’s Up campaign, spearheaded and backed by Hollywood women including Reese Witherspoon, Cate Blanchett, and Emma Stone.

The ceremony speeches were also littered with references to the sexual harassment scandals and the empowerment of women.

Nicole Kidman, who won honours for her role in Big Little Lies, dedicated her win to the females in her life, saying: "Wow, the power of women."
