15-year £100K sexual harassment tribunal offers HR lesson

A 15-year £100,000 employment tribunal nears a conclusion with the court the case was heard at calling it a “staggering expense” – Dundee Courier reports.

Since 2013 there has been a 70% drop in the number of workforce tribunals.

Unison claim that increased costs, of up to £1,650, implemented by David Cameron’s Conservative Government, deters workers from fighting employment disputes and dismissals.

Yet, it is often incumbent on HR to ensure that tribunals need not be reached in the first place.
