An increasing number of employers are shifting their attention towards financial wellbeing - with financial woes cited as one of the major causes of stress, anxiety and depression.
One sector hit particularly hard by this is the retail sector, which is one of the UK’s largest employers.
RetailCURe, a not-for-profit spearheaded by Theo Paphitis, Chairman of Theo Paphitis Retail Group, and Richard Boland Smith, Chief Executive of RetailTRUST, aims to rid the monetary worries plaguing the retail workforce.
This aim is made all the harder by the current drop in retail pay. Advertised salaries for retail jobs dropped annually by 17.4% to £21,769, research from Adzuna found earlier this year.
