McDonald’s have sparked a social media backlash – and an unwanted comparison with Star Wars – for their new rollout of employee uniforms.

A video tweeted by the fast-food franchiser showed the newest form of their crew’s newest kit.

With an update long overdue, McDonald's will roll out the new clobber at their 14,000th store as 850,000 staff gear up to, well, take on more gear.
