VP of HR at CGI, Karen Townsend on supporting women's careers in technology

Recruitment Lead for South Wales at CGI UK, Gabrielle Corria was recently awarded the 2017 Rising Star award at the seventh annual FDM everywoman in Technology Awards.

The prestigious award goes to a woman, aged under 26, who is excelling in a career in technology.

Corria is responsible for sourcing local talent and managing the full recruitment cycle for South Wales and she is a passionate advocate for increasing the number of young women pursuing careers in technology.

HR Grapevine spoke to Karen Townsend, Vice President, Human Resources at the software firm about supporting initiatives such as the FDM everywoman in Technology Awards and Careers Wales, and empowering more females to enter careers in technology.
