The robot revolution has already begun, and it’s threatening to steal more human roles. If this continues to progress, Bill Gates believes that the robots should be taxed.
In a recent interview with Quartz, technology veteran Gates said: "If a human worker does $50,000 of work in a factory, that income is taxed.
“If a robot comes in to do the same thing, you'd think we'd tax the robot at a similar level."
Incoming cyborgs rendering human labour redundant has already shown its benefits in factory work, however, the Microsoft Co-Founder says it should not be feared, as robots present an opportunity for humans to enter roles where we really need them.
