Crown Duty Management Systems held its new half year conference for one of its key customer groups – UK police forces.

The Blue Light User Group (BLUG) session, at Lea Marston in Warwickshire, was held to update clients on product developments and provide them with a networking opportunity to discuss issues that affect them all.

The flexibility of the analytics package was among the topics presented. Each force must provide statistical reports to Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC) and the criteria around the reporting methods is extremely stringent to ensure an accurate picture of force strength and capability.

The demands put on police forces today mean that focus is shifting and Crown is incorporating a framework to allow users to build on information capabilities to provide business intelligence and develop their services.
