The conversation about ‘good work’ has increased in recent years.

Employers are striving to provide it. Employees are striving to do it. All with the goal of enjoying a healthier working life. Why? Because there is plenty of evidence available now to show correlations between wellbeing, engagement and productivity. But what does a healthier working life look like?

In this article, we explore this question, utilising various stages of a hypothetical employee’s working life. At each stage, we discuss the challenges and how employers and employees might begin to overcome them, with help from Dr Julie Denning, Managing Director & Chartered Health Psychologist at Working To Wellbeing and Chair of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association.
