The Apprenticeship Levy has been met with criticism for both its conception and usage. With some firms slamming it as yet another business tax; other firms have received scrutiny for using it to rebrand low-skilled work as apprentices. It’s fair to say that the levy hasn’t had the best start.
But, that doesn’t mean apprenticeships should be tarred with the same brush, instead, more should be done to educate businesses on the opportunity this type of work presents.
