Upgrading your fleet is a great opportunity to re-engage your company car drivers and give them a well-needed top up on their driving safety knowledge. Rebekah Tapping, HR Director at Personal Group (PG), tells HR Grapevine about their most recent upgrade in January, and what you can learn from their adventure.

Surprise reveal

On the first day of work in 2018, the company car drivers at Personal Group were in for a treat. At Rockingham Race Track, they were about to meet the firm’s new standard car which had been kept a closely guard secret for the last six months.

The staff knew an upgrade was coming but were utterly in the dark about the new model. “We had joked with staff that they should expect something unusual – with a wry nod to something yellow and on brand,” explained Tapping.
