Dr Employer: Making wellness programmes work well for everyone

Philosopher Professor AC Grayling defines wellbeing as a state of “flourishing” and the movement towards really worthwhile goals -  as well as having “good relationships” with others.

With these objectives in mind, it’s not surprising then that wellbeing and wellness have become buzzwords in both our professional and personal lives.

Yet, there’s still some confusion over what exactly wellbeing means and how it can be achieved fairly for every demographic in the workforce.

New research by Thomson Online Benefits finds that whilst well over half of employees would prefer an allowance to support their wellbeing needs, only 4% of UK employers are currently offering this.
