The benefits a workplace provides hold a strong influence over talent attraction, retention and of course, employee satisfaction – and there’s a good reason for perks, seeing as work is where we spend most of our time.

According to research by Glassdoor over half (57%) of prospective employees argue that perks are among their ‘top considerations’ when deciding whether or not to accept a job.

Whilst ping pong tables and free food were once held in high regard, a global survey commissioned by Dell and Intel found that over 60% of Millennials would rather receive high-tech perks at work over such benefits.

A separate study found that 16% of employees consider their companies employee stock purchase plan is their most important benefit, (up from 10% in 2014) according to Fidelity Investments, whilst a survey by Randstad found 22% of respondents value a competitive salary and benefits package over any other work perks.
