Lauren Tropeano, Chief People Officer at LMS provider Docebo, is a self-described ‘renaissance worker.’
While not a term which has entered the zeitgeist (yet), it is one which deeply informs Tropeano’s approach to people strategy, talent, management, culture, leadership, and organisational effectiveness.
"The idea of being defined by a specific function or a specific role has never felt natural for me. I need to be myself, and to express these different interests and skills I’ve developed, whether it be within the company or outside through life experiences," she said.
But what is a renaissance worker, exactly?
Tropeano expanded: "There’s no formal definition of the concept, but in essence it’s any worker with core expertise who has amassed - or is at least curious about amassing - adjacent skills or capabilities.
