Forming an essential component of the National Hiring Strategy, the National Hiring Metrics hard launched during RecFest UK 2026. Now the race is on to drag UK hiring out of the dark ages and make it faster, fairer, and safer.

Adrian Thomas, Talent Acquisition Director and Advisor, has quietly been building industry consensus on standardised hiring definitions for years, even before there was a National Hiring Strategy.

While a taskforce to build that strategy was announced in May 2025 and as it gathered political traction, Thomas said it "became clear" the initiative had real momentum, but no measurement framework behind it.

Cue the merger.
