Employers are being encouraged to rethink how they resource work during periods of reduced staffing.

Strategically engaging temporary talent can help organisations avoid project delays while strengthening long-term workforce resilience and meeting critical organisational KPIs outside of project and work delivery (such as CSR and EDI initiatives), says Giselle Gonzales, CEO and Founder at Equalreach, the freelance marketplace.

Across July and August, many organisations operate with reduced capacity as employees take annual leave.

While the seasonal slowdown allows staff to recharge, it can also leave business-critical projects, client work and strategic initiatives without the resources needed to maintain momentum.
