‘Everyone benefits’ | Why top UK employers are helping deliver 100 million volunteering hours by 2028

Employers including Centrica and Mitie are among those to sign up to an ambitious scheme aiming to double the impact of workforce volunteering in the UK.

The 100 Million Hour Movement, created and championed by the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS), seeks to address both a 3-million-volunteer shortfall in the UK and declining employee morale.

The campaign’s principal aim is to deliver a staggering 100 million hours of employee volunteering by the end of 2028.

Three actions to increase employee volunteering

Several major UK employers have pledged their support for the 100 Million Hour Movement, including the Berkeley Foundation, Browne Jacobson, and Coventry Building Society.
