‘Physically demanding’ | First Bus to offer staff paid leave for IVF treatments

Transport operator First Bus has introduced dedicated support for employees undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment, as it promises to help staff during “every life stage.”

From June 2026, colleagues receiving IVF treatment will be able to take five days of paid leave, while partners have been granted two days.

The company said the measures have been rolled out in response to colleague feedback.

“We hope this is another way our people see our commitment to being a truly inclusive, supportive employer,” stated Gareth Hind, Director of Employee Engagement and Internal Communications at First Bus.
