‘Genuinely transformative’ | Epilepsy awareness: How Chelsea FC is changing the game with staff training

Chelsea FC has made history by becoming the first Premier League club to run dedicated epilepsy first aid training for its staff, in partnership with a national charity.

The development initiative was designed give staff the skills they need to respond to seizures quickly and effectively.

Roughly one in every 100 people in the UK has epilepsy, with 79 people newly diagnosed each day.

Chelsea leads by example with epilepsy training

Chelsea rolled out the landmark training sessions for staff at Stamford Bridge, in partnership with Epilepsy Action, a Leeds-based charity that is “committed to supporting a better life for everyone affected by epilepsy.”
