Earlier this year, infrastructure firm Balfour Beatty found that 75% of its staff who used AI (Microsoft 365 Copilot) reported improved productivity.
The company behind major construction projects, including the Lower Thames Crossing and Net Zero Teesside, said using AI not only helps people complete their jobs more efficiently but also improves safety, reduces mental load, and helps neurodiverse employees communicate with colleagues.
These benefits have only been possible thanks to a carefully orchestrated plan for workforce adoption, with IT and HR working in partnership to help employees gain new skills and test potential use cases.
