Viral CEO talks move to abandon four-day workweek… for a 32-hour model

Aled Nelmes, CEO of SEO agency Lumen, recently hit the LinkedIn stratosphere with a viral post about his firm's decision to abandon a four-day workweek trial.

The twist? The controversial reduced work model was axed in favour of something even more generous: A 32-hour, work-from-anywhere model.

Talk about flexibility! Nelmes’ post chalked up roughly 17,000 likes, 1,000 comments, 200 reposts, and best of all, a cheeky DM from an HR journalist set on sniffing out a fascinating case study.

With a few extra hours of free time on his hands on a recent Friday, the exec and founder had the opportunity to respond to the message. He spoke exclusively to HR Grapevine about the transformational model that has become Lumen’s “vehicle for increasing trust, initiative, and wellbeing.”
