We should think of AI as a ‘digital colleague’ rather than fearing its impact, PwC’s Global Chairman has said.
Speaking at the 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday – where AI has been the hottest of hot topics – chairman Mohamed Kande addressed worker anxieties about AI, arguing that exposure is the best medicine for any tech trepidation.
"People fear what they don't understand, so exposing them to the technology, putting in their hands makes a big difference," Kande said, adding that businesses should position AI as a ‘digital colleague’ for employees to work alongside. “You don't fear your colleagues, you partner with them.”
The timely words came while Goldman Sachs rolled out an AI agent for 10,000 members of staff including traders, bankers, and asset managers, described by a company exec as “like talking to another GS employee.”
