Boomi’s CEO has won an award for the ‘best CEOs for diversity’ in the prestigious Comparably rankings. Additionally, the firm was also awarded ‘best company for career growth’.
The winners were selected after Comparably, a leading workplace culture and corporate brand reputation platform, evaluated over 15million anonymous employee ratings from over 70,000 of the world’s largest companies. Based on anonymous employee feedback from its more than 1,700 global employees, intelligent connectivity and automation leader Boomi ranks among the top 50 largest companies for its commitments to, and achievements in, diversity and career advancement.
This is the second year in a row that David Meredith, the CEO of Boomi, has won Comparably’s ‘Best CEO for Diversity’ award. Comparably evaluated ratings of Meredith from Boomi’s employees of colour, which led to him receiving this award.
Why CEOs need to lead on diversity
Ultimately, it’s the CEO who leads on diversity and inclusion within any organisation – but business leaders don’t always put their money where their mouth is. Forbes reported that, according to the Summit Leadership Partners 2021 CEO study which surveyed 200 CEOs, although 95% of participants claimed DE&I is a focus for their companies, two out of five CEOs admitted that they do not have a DE&I strategy.
