A staggering 85% of businesses are feeling the pinch as a result of the ‘Great Resignation’, according to new research from Barnett Waddingham.

The independent risk and pensions consultancy conducted a survey among senior decision-makers, including members of the C-Suite, in over 300 companies and discovered that just 15% felt that they had not been affected by the ‘Great Resignation’.

Of those who’d been affected, almost a third (32%) said the struggle to find and recruit talent had seen an impact on employee wellbeing as a result. 31% said it had led to team burnout, and 20% felt that it had led to unreasonable workloads for team members.

Crucially, the ‘Great Resignation’ has also had a major impact on recruitment and retention. Nearly a third (32%) said they’d struggled to recruit new talent, with 31% stating that they’d had trouble retaining their staff.
