At the heart of business strategy and success is productivity, and the ability to maintain high level output as situations change around us. Yet a business is only as strong as its workforce, and when placed under extreme stress, it’s only natural that productivity waivers. The most important thing is that structures are put in place to ensure employees feel supported at all times, and that they can see the dedication being applied to their L&D growth.

However, the current systems in place are falling short of their target, and a gap between the perceptions of employer and employee realities grows ever wider. Capita Learning commissioned an independent study with Norstat, polling 1,500 UK office workers and 1,000 UK business HR decision-makers, to uncover the current state of the L&D situation, and address what improvements are needed to bridge the gap.
