Elon Musk is a name that many in the business world will recognise. He is an entrepreneur, investor and business magnate who has served as the Chief Executive Officer at Tesla since 2008.
To add to the list of companies that he plays a part in, it was recently announced that Musk is now the largest shareholder at Twitter.
Earlier this week, the BBC reported that Musk has taken a 9.2% stake in the social media behemoth, according to a US securities filing. As of March 14, Tesla’s Chief Executive owned 73,486,938 shares in the social platform, according to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
This move is said to make him the largest shareholder in the firm, with more than four times the 2.25% holding of Twitter’s Founder, Jack Dorsey.
