Earlier this year, Bank of America announced a whopping £900million ($1.25billion) commitment to improving racial equality and boosting equal economic opportunity, which they hope will advance diversity and inclusion in wider society.
Money will go towards, among other things, investment in diversifying leadership networks, and minority businesses and jobs initiative schemes.
All of these are external activities but they’re matched by internal efforts, too.
Bank of America has previously set up a Global Diversity & Inclusion Council, which the business leadership are intimately involved in, have diversity goals throughout the organisation (embedded into performance management processes, and partner with inspiring (and diverse leaders) to improve role modelling and share success from minority individuals.
