The CEO of the future? This boss has never met his staff

Mike Tuchen, is a US-based entrepreneur, leader and CEO of the fintech firm Onfido. Like many, he’s been navigating the day-to-day of leadership remotely via platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams – leading employees through the rocky period and setting a course for his company to follow.

However, unlike many CEOs, Tuchen’s digital-first approach hasn’t been a move away from the office, prompted via pandemic. In fact, Tuchen has only ever lead his firm remotely. For the past six months, he has met just one single employee in person, and will likely meet others rarely, or never.

Tuchen is one of the many leaders who moved into his current position over the course of the pandemic, having accepted the role at the end of 2020.
