Many business leaders follow certain rules that they swear by; Google CEO Larry Page previously revealed in an interview with Fortune that he avoids using the computer for work and spends days using just a mobile, while American retail businesswoman, Martha Stewart, will only allow documents to be written in red of black ink.
And Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos is also no stranger to following one rule in particular when it comes to making business decisions.
According to Get Pocket, in a 2016 annual shareholder letter, Bezos spoke about his approach to decision making. He stated that while it’s nice to have access to all of the information someone wants, knowing everything in most cases can in fact prove detrimental.
That’s why he believes that business leaders only need to know 70% about something, at which point a decision can be made.
