Unique and interesting senior titles within Silicon Valley and challenger tech start-ups is no new thing; both Google and SAP employ workers with the title of ‘innovation evangelist’, whilst tech firm Automattic has employed a ‘happiness engineer’ for some time.

In fact most recently, Executive Grapevine reported that Tesla Founder and one-time ‘richest person on earth’ Elon Musk had tweaked his own title and that of other executives in the company to ‘Technoking of Tesla’ and other such nonsensical jokes.

However, every now and again, a previously largely unknown function does rear its head that leads to a swelling of popularity across the professional industries. One such occurrence may well be in the works due to the professional moves of – unexpectedly – Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex.

This week Prince Harry announced that the first title he will take following his departure from Royal life, will be that of Chief Impact Officer at US-based Silicon Valley mental health and coaching start-up Better Up.
