Inspiring and leading change in an organisation is not always an easy task. After all, human beings are creatures of habit and do not always welcome change.
And statistics have shown that change management isn’t working as it should. A Harvard Business Review (HBR) article shared that leading practitioners of radical corporate reengineering report that success rates in Fortune 1,000 companies are well below 50%, with some even stating it is as low as 20%.
But there are some things that business leaders can do. Whether it is practicing listening, speaking openly and honestly or genuinely asking employees for feedback, all of these ‘unusual’ factors can play a key role in leading change.
