With the announcement of the Government roadmap out of lockdown, businesses across the UK have moved to the next phase of the return to what many have branded the ‘new normal’. However, when considering what this will look like, many different approaches have been touted.
Some, such as social media giants Twitter and Facebook and more recently streaming company Spotify, have suggested that workers will have the ability to continue operating entirely remotely if this is preferable. Spotify has branded its new policy ‘Work from Anywhere', with CHRO Katarina Berg telling CNBC that “the ultimate goal of our new design approach is to ensure that employees have a place where they can focus, collaborate, and create – whether that’s at a desk, in a conference room, or in cafe spaces”.
