Edinburgh has taken the top spot as the happiest city in the UK, new research has found.
The data from SmartSurvey revealed that the Scottish capital city had a median annual earning of £28,829, average life satisfaction score of 7.6 and average commute time of circa 20 minutes.
Bournemouth (£25,185), Brighton and Hove (£27,865) and Southend-on-Sea (£26,755) also ranked highly on the list of cities with the happiest workforces.
The data analysed 50 of the UK’s biggest towns and cities based on six factors – including commute times, happiness and median annual earnings – to uncover the UK’s happiest workforce.
