Extra days off
In good news, it seems some business leaders are listening to the research-backed HR advice they seem to be receiving – good news for people and good news for the function. With a focus on wellbeing, Aviva is just one firm doing its own version of HR best practice by offering extra days off to staff in the pandemic.

Danny Harmer, Chief People Officer at Aviva, said: “We want to make this winter a little bit brighter for them and say thank you. So, this is an opportunity for colleagues to take a day for themselves.”
