Gender equality when it comes to pay has long been a talking point in organisations across the world, particularly as more firms pledge to make a difference and remove gender biases and inequalities within the workplace.

However, new data has revealed that there is still a long way to go. Following a recent campaign by DailyFX, which looked at diversity and inclusion (D&I) in FTSE 100 Boardrooms, it found that there is a lack of diversity, with male executive numbers dominating female numbers.

It also revealed that male FTSE CEOs earn an average of £1.5million ($2.08million) per year, three times as much as a female FTSE CEO. In addition, the data discovered that CEOs aged over 60 earn almost four times as much as CEOs under 50 years old.
