This week has seen England once again head into lockdown, as the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson outlined new measures last weekend in order to help prevent the spread of the virus, which is once again gripping the nation.
While many employees and business leaders will have gotten used to remote working by now, others may have ventured back to the workplace when the first lockdown restrictions were lifted a few months ago.
Due to this, both staff members and their leaders have had to once again get to grips with working remotely from home. With this comes some essential skills any business leader should consider to ensure they are supporting their employees as much as possible from afar.
Research has shown however that business leaders are renewing their efforts when it comes to employee wellbeing. According to a PwC survey of CEOs, 93% of respondents stated that they prioritised protecting employee health and safety over everything else. In addition, almost a quarter of CEOs globally provided staff with financial support, a proportion that was also the same in the UK.
