Sick and tired of working from home? These local businesses may have a solution

It’s been seven long months since the pandemic forced workers across the country to retreat from the office and head home, to work remotely to stave off the fast spread of the virus. In that time, some have returned briefly, before once again being asked by the Government to work from home where possible.

In this time, workers have scrambled to create a place within their homes in which they can comfortably work. In fact, Amazon noted recently that sales of home office furniture have skyrocketed in this time. However, many are still balancing monitors on stacks of books, or working from a messy kitchen counter or dining room table.

Regardless of how equipped homes are to deal with this vast push to homeworking, chances are many workers are sick and tired of working and spending the majority of their personal time in the same space, and are crying out for an alternative to this less than ideal arrangement.

And whilst many offices are still out of bounds, there is a solution to this conundrum – albeit one that may not appear to be an obvious option to most. That is what some are now calling ‘pub desks’.
