Workers share SHOCKING resignation stories

It was announced today, through the latest research from the Office for National Statistics, that UK payrolls had shrunk by a shocking 649,000 jobs whilst lockdown has been in effect.

This may understandably lead companies to assume that, whilst huge demand exists for open positions, retention rates may skyrocket as workers remain hesitant to leave their current roles.

However, research published this week looking at the post-Covid-19 employment market has found that 40% of people are reconsidering their employment as a direct result of the pandemic. That data, published by LegalShield UK, highlights the strong workforce reaction to decisions taken by leaders in this time.

Seen as a true test of prioritisation, those who have sacrificed the wellbeing of workers may well find that soon, they face a mass exodus of those who don’t see their company culture as sustainable. And given the strong reactions to policies workers deem unfair or poor treatment, not all resignations will be calm and collected.
