The coronavirus pandemic has led to numerous negative consequences for the business world.
Earlier this week the Office for National Statistics revealed that 600,000 people were now out of work due to redundancies, as the UK economy contracted significantly. However, whilst the vast majority of its effects on the world of work have been negative, one unexpected step forward has been taken with regards to work-life balance.
According to a new study released by Dale Office Interiors, 71% of UK businesses are planning to permanently adopt flexible and agile working practices post COVID-19 lockdown. The research, which canvassed the opinions of MDs, CEOs and business owners, found that COVID-19 will have a long-term impact on how and where we work. Physical offices still play an important role, but the option to work remotely is here to stay.

This comes as no surprise when a whopping 80% of business leaders felt their employees had been either as productive or more productive while working remotely due to COVID-19.
