Microsoft & other employers show what HR can do for Black staff

Microsoft and other major companies including Spotify, Ford and Starbucks have all responded to the civil rights protests currently sweeping the US by adding their support to those campaigning for the rights of black employees.

The protests currently taking place in major cities across the US including New York and Los Angeles were sparked by the death of unarmed black man George Floyd, however, many businesses have used this platform to address racial inequalities within the workplace.

Microsoft

For example, Microsoft announced in a series of tweets published on June 1, 2020 that it would use its platforms to amplify the voices of employees from the black and African American community.
